Photos and face measurements

When you select or drop a photo, the detector reads it locally, draws it to a browser canvas and uses a locally running landmark model to estimate proportions. The analysis code has no photo-upload endpoint and does not send the resulting measurements through a network request. The model and application files download from this website. The photo and result are held in the current page, rather than in a site account or server-side photo library.

“Clear photo & results” clears the application's displayed measurements and photo canvas. Closing the page ends that page's session. This does not delete the original image on your device, files you downloaded, or information managed independently by your browser or operating system.

Downloads and browser storage

Saving PNG or data creates a file on your device only when you choose that action. These exports contain the calculated result, not your photo. Printing uses your browser's print dialog. A downloaded or printed copy remains until you delete it yourself. The detector does not use cookies, localStorage or an account to keep a history of your photos or results. Your browser may cache public website files and the landmark model so they can load again more quickly.

Hosting and technical requests

Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website. Page and asset requests necessarily reach the hosting service, which can receive technical information such as your IP address, requested URL and browser request headers. Our live pages also contain a Cloudflare Web Analytics script inserted by the hosting platform. Browser security rules and settings can affect whether that script runs. These technical requests are separate from the detector's local photo processing; we do not pass your selected photo or calculated face measurements to that script.

Cloudflare describes its Web Analytics service as privacy-first. For the provider's handling of information, see Cloudflare Web Analytics and Cloudflare's privacy policy. We have not independently verified the provider's internal retention practices.

Third-party advertising

We plan to display third-party advertising to support this website. No advertising network code has been installed by the site operator at the date above. Once a network is selected and approved, its ads may involve requests to third parties and may use cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery, measurement or personalization, depending on the network and your choices.

Before activating advertising, we will update this policy to identify the provider, explain its actual data practices and provide the applicable consent or opt-out controls. We will not describe a provider or an advertising cookie as active until it is actually in use. Our photo-analysis code does not provide your selected image or face measurements to advertisers.

Your choices and external links

You can read the guides without selecting a photo. Only use a photo you have permission to process. You can stop using the detector, clear its result, remove downloaded reports and manage site data through your browser. Links to external documentation open services with their own privacy practices; this policy describes Face Trace's implementation, not those external services. Changes to the site's data handling will be reflected on this page.
